Who am I?

I’m Wafa Farid, a CDA-licensed psychologist in Dubai offering structured, evidence-based support for adolescents and adults. I help individuals manage anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, and life transitions with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and clinical expertise.

With Indian roots, a Western education, and having grown up in the Middle East, I bring a multicultural lens to therapy. My cross-cultural family life helps me understand the emotional challenges of navigating identity, relationships, and mental health in fast-paced, diverse environments like Dubai.

How long is each session?Each session lasts 60 minutes.

What are the session fees?• Online sessions are AED 450. • In-person sessions are higher and are dependent on clinic location and facility fees.

Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?Yes. I offer both options, based on what works best for you. Session format and availability can be discussed during your initial inquiry.

Do you accept insurance?I currently offer pay-and-claim insurance support through the licensed clinics I work with. This means you’ll pay for your session upfront and receive an official receipt that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Please check directly with your insurance company to confirm if mental health or psychotherapy sessions are covered under your plan, and whether they accept claims from out-of-network or licensed providers.

Do you work with teens or adults?Yes, I provide support to adolescents, young adults, and adults dealing with a range of mental health and emotional concerns.

Can parents reach out for help with their teenagers?Absolutely. I support parents in understanding and connecting with their teens, and offer therapy sessions directly to adolescents. I also offer family therapy sessions.

Do you offer postpartum or parenting support?Yes. I help new mothers and parents navigate emotional adjustments after childbirth, parenting stress, and family life transitions with care and clarity.
